Martine Knowles has been a dedicated member of the American Child Care family for 16 years. She began as a teacher and, through years of experience and commitment, became the Director American Child Care South Nashville location five years ago.
As a mother of three, Martine brought firsthand experience caring for children when she joined American Child Care. Today, she is also the proud grandmother of two, both of whom attend American Child Care—making her connection to the center even more special.
Throughout her 16 years with American Child Care, Martine has learned that caring for children is about much more than child care. It is about leading with love, building relationships, and making every child feel important. She considers American Child Care her second home and the children, parents, and staff an extended family.
For Martine, one of the greatest rewards is when a child or parent ends the day by asking her for a hug. Those moments remind her why she has devoted so many years to caring for families at American Child Care.
